Chinese Goulash

Ingredients

  • 1 tomato
  • 500g beef
  • 200ml red wine
  • half an onion
  • a little ginger and garlic
  • sugar
  • tomato sauce
  • cooking wine
  • salt
  • oil
  • coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash the beef and cut it into pieces. Put two slices of ginger in cold water, add one tablespoon of cooking wine, boil over high heat for 2 minutes, remove the beef and wash it with hot water.

  2. Heat oil in a pot, add ginger slices, minced garlic, onion, and stir-fry until fragrant. Add beef and stir-fry for a while.

  3. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into pieces, pour them into the pot, and stir-fry with the beef.

  4. After the tomato is fried, add red wine, add a proper amount of water, boil to low heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.

  5. Finally, add three tablespoons of tomato sauce and one tablespoon of sugar and continue to simmer for 10 minutes. Before serving, add some salt to taste and sprinkle some coriander leaves.

Tips:
The beef should be boiled in cold water, and the boiled water should not be covered to let the fishy smell out.
Fry the tomato juice, add water, and start to stew.
If you want it to be softer, simmer it for more time. Adding red wine and simmering for 30 minutes is enough.
