Crispy Soy Garlic Tofu

Ingredients

  • Tofu
  • garlic
  • soy sauce
  • water
  • Salt
  • sugar

Direction

  1. Cut the tofu into strips.

  2. Cut the garlic into pieces.

  3. When the oil is hot, add garlic.

  4. Turn down the heat and put the tofu, evenly spread on top of the minced garlic.

  5. Fry for 3-5 minutes on each side, then turn over, fry until golden, then add seasonings.

  6. After adding the seasoning, turn over and continue frying for a while, then turn off the heat.

How do you keep tofu crispy?

Add starch. A light coating of cornstarch will absorb even more moisture from the tofu’s surface and contribute to a distinct coating. Sprinkle over the starch (potato starch, tapioca starch, and arrowroot all work too) a little bit at a time and toss the tofu, pressing gently so the starch adheres.
