Can cold tofu be eaten?

How to make cold tofu?

Ingredient

  • 1 piece of northern tofu
  • 3 spicy millet
  • 2 shallots
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

Direction

  1. Cut the tofu into pieces about 1.5 cm.

  2. Cut shallots into finely chopped green onions, minced garlic, and minced millet into chili rings. Put minced garlic, pepper powder, and chili powder in a heat-resistant bowl.

  3. Add water to the pot and boil, add a small amount of salt, and then add tofu to blanch. After the water boils, cook for 3-4 minutes, then remove the tofu. Breaks easily.

  4. After the tofu is taken out, put it in cold water to cool, remove and drain the water for later use, after blanching the tofu, put it in cold water to cool so that the tofu will not stick together.

  5. Add oil to the pot and heat it. Pour the hot oil into the bowl containing chili powder, minced garlic, and pepper powder, and fry the seasoning until it smells fragrant. Then add sugar, salt, rice vinegar, and light soy sauce, stir well, and the seasoning sauce is ready.

  6. Put the tofu cubes in a large bowl, pour in the seasoning sauce, and mix well with chopsticks.

  7. Add chopped green onion and hot millet, mix well and serve on a plate. A plate of cold tofu with delicious flavor and color is ready.

Tips: Tofu can be made from old tofu or soft tofu. When blanching the tofu, add a little salt to the water so that the tofu will not break easily. After blanching the tofu, put it in cold water to cool, so that the tofu will not stick together.
