How to make corn bread

  1. Break 1 egg into a bowl, pour in 125 ml of milk, add 2 grams of salt and 40 grams of white sugar and stir well with chopsticks.

  2. Then pour in 200 grams of high-gluten flour, 80 grams of cornstarch and 4 grams of yeast, and stir with chopsticks until there is no dry flour.

  6. After fermentation, you can see that the inside is honeycomb-shaped. Sprinkle an appropriate amount of dry flour on the chopping board. Put the dough on the chopping board and knead it to exhaust the air. Then knead it into a long strip and cut it into four equal-sized noodles. .

  7. Knead the dough from the outside to the inside, and then arrange it into a circle.

  8. Sprinkle dry flour on the chopping board, flatten the dough, sprinkle a layer of dry flour on top, then use a rolling pin to roll it into a ox tongue shape, sprinkle with your favorite raisins, etc.

  9. Arrange the raisins evenly, then close the two sides of the dough towards the middle and press firmly.

  10. Use a rolling pin to roll out a rectangular piece of dough and roll it up from one side.

  11. Brush the bottom and sides of the grinder with a layer of edible oil, put in the prepared bread embryo, cover with plastic wrap and ferment for a second time to 2.5 times the size.

  12. Steam the fermented bread in cold water until the water boils, then turn to medium heat and continue to steam for 40 minutes. Don't rush to open the pot, otherwise it will shrink. Wait for 6 minutes before opening the lid.

  13. Cornbread is ready, tastes no worse than oven baked, and steamed bread is healthier.
